Beginning the cycle of promotions in target-markets around the world, France was the country chosen by producers and exporters of Brazilian Papayas.
The promotional endeavors are being undertaken by the Self Image Relations Publiques company, which was contracted for its demonstrable experience gained in previous campaigns.
The task of publicizing papayas to the French public, labeled with the Brazilian Fruit emblem of origin, includes promotional support material, and holding events and tasting sessions. The points covered by the promotional campaign range from information on how best to taste the fruit, its nutritional values, and the producing regions, to general information on Brazil.
Adding to the publicity of the papayas in France, the chain of restaurants Paradis du Fruit has been arranging for a special program of tastings of the fruit carried out by well-known French chefs. Begun on June 1, this campaign, conducted in the restaurants, is expected to end on July 3.
In addition to France, papayas are already present on consumers' tables in countries such as the United States, Canada, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal and Belgium, and BRAPEX is chiefly responsible for coordinating not just the promotions, but the high quality of the production, processing and logistics.
